Software terms
These starter terms explain trials, purchases, licence keys, refunds, updates and support. Review and adapt them before accepting live payments.
Free trials
Paid software may include a 7-day free trial. After the trial period, activation may require a valid licence key.
Purchases and licence keys
Software is sold as a licence to use the app, not as ownership of the underlying code. Licence keys should be kept safe and should not be shared publicly or resold unless expressly permitted.
One-off purchases
Unless clearly stated otherwise, LC Productions apps are presented as one-off purchases rather than subscription products.
Refunds
Because software can be downloaded and activated digitally, refund rules should be clearly shown at checkout. Consider offering refunds where the product is defective, not as described, or cannot be activated after reasonable support.
Updates
Updates may be provided to fix bugs, improve compatibility or add features. Major upgrades may be sold separately if clearly stated.
Acceptable use
Customers must not reverse engineer, redistribute, resell, bypass licence checks, or use the software for unlawful purposes.
Support
Support is provided for installation, downloads, licence keys and reasonable product issues. Custom development and unsupported system problems may be outside normal support.
Liability
Use software responsibly and keep backups of important files. LC Productions should not be liable for indirect loss beyond what is required by law.
